We also use more formal tools, like WEBWMS for wellbeing data and an annual Adverse Childhood Experience (ACE) survey, to help us track progress over time. Parents, referral agencies, and schools receive questionnaires too, giving us additional perspectives and a wider picture of each young woman’s journey.
This comprehensive data, along with KPIs such as attendance and referral rates, allows us to clearly see the difference the project is making.
We see it when women come in with a sad, blank or stressed face and then leave laughing. They’re like little quiet mice when they arrive and when they go, it’s a joy to hear their footsteps – it’s like a weight’s been lifted. What’s more, they form healthy relationships and start using the strategies they’ve learned in their everyday lives. Most importantly, we see it when they set personal goals — and take steady steps towards achieving them.
