mams find their feet

Becoming a mother is scary at any age. But throw in the fact you’re a young woman who’s still trying to negotiate the big, bad world and it’s a lot to deal with.

Especially given many of the young women we work with have experienced trauma or adversity, which can impact their wellbeing and ability to parent. Our sessions cover topics such as healthy pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, postnatal health, child development, safe sleeping, bonding, and more.

We also offer practical activities such as cooking on a budget, independent living, baby massage, baby yoga, and shared meals to build confidence, connection, and community for both young mothers and their children.

our services

Many young women choose to access support from our on-site female counsellors because they feel safe, accepted and understood, and like knowing exactly who they’ll meet each time.

Meeting young women at home, often where they feel most comfortable, we provide personalised support for those who are maybe neurodiverse, shy, or are experiencing mental health challenges.

Our specialised group programmes are influenced by the young women themselves – giving them real ownership over what they learn and create together.

When things feel overwhelming, we speak up on behalf of young women. As trusted advocates, we make sure they’re heard, have access to the support they’re entitled to, and can move forward with confidence.
