Ann offers midwifery support, contraception outreach and a pregnancy decision-making service. She’s been involved with Young Women’s Project for almost 23 years. Her previous roles as a Nurse and Midwife, and the Specialist Sexual Health/Teenage Pregnancy Nurse for Gateshead, led her here.
She was also involved with the Board of Trustees and was Chair Trustee for seven years. After leaving the NHS, she took on her current role – she feels the young women and babies are utterly amazing and that working here is an absolute pleasure – so much so it never feels like work. An outdoorsy person, Ann likes to spend free time in her garden and walking by the sea. A true Hincher, this one is also into cleaning. And she rather likes The Great British Bake Off, even though she insists she can’t bake!
