Abigail Smith

Mental Health Youth Worker and Counsellor

As an integrative counsellor, Abigail supports young people to navigate challenges and develop strategies for personal growth. During one-to-ones, she helps young women work on building confidence in areas such as going out in public, getting public transport, or coming to groups. She also helps them access education, as a lot of the young women we work with are no longer in education due to their mental health struggles. They’ll sometimes go for a coffee or visit places such as the dog café or a museum. Abigail hosts a wellbeing group too in the holidays and has a keen interest in working with neurodiverse young people.

Abigail thrives on being that first point of contact when life gets a bit too much and being able to advocate for young people.

She has green fingers and when she’s not tending to her prized veggies in her allotment, she loves lazy days at home watching films and playing Sims.
